OUTDOOR MUSIC FAQ
We have over 40 shows this summer, and can’t wait to welcome you to our beautiful beer garden this season! Keep reading to find answers to our most frequently asked questions regarding beer garden music!
HOW DO I BUY GENERAL ADMISSION TICKETS?
General Admission tickets are sold at the door only, not online. You can pay with cash at the door attendant stand, or visit the inside bar before heading outside to pay with a card! If tickets are sold out online, that does NOT include General Admission – that means VIP options are sold out, and only GA remains.
WHAT SEATING IS THERE FOR GENERAL ADMISSION?
You’re welcome to bring your own lawn chair, or arrive earlier to grab one of our first come, first served seating options. We have a number of picnic tables throughout the beer garden that are available on a first come basis, as well as outdoor bar seating, and our firepit chairs. When you arrive, check out the seating map next to the door attendant for a visual of where to grab a seat or place your chair!
WHAT ARE THE VIP OPTIONS?
VIP lawn chairs and reserved tables are available ahead of time online. VIP lawn chairs are the first few rows of seats at every show, so you’re up front for the action and don’t have to haul your own chair! VIP reserved tables are on the upper patio area (near the building and outdoor bar), have real chairs with backs, and come with a server so there’s no waiting in beer lines or picking up your food orders inside. HOW MUCH IS COVER AND WHAT DOES THAT INCLUDE?
Cover is $5 or $10, depending on the show, and includes beer garden access for the entire evening. This includes unlimited mini golf! Click over to our show lineup page to see pricing for each show.
I JUST WANT TO MINI GOLF, DO I STILL HAVE TO PAY COVER?
Yes. Cover = beer garden access, whether you’re here for the show or just golf.
CAN I BUY TICKETS IN PERSON?
All VIP ticket sales are online only. Our ticketing platform is separate from our in-store point of sale, so to accurately maintain ticket inventory, all VIP tickets must be purchased through our website. Our taproom staff cannot sell you a ticket, and cannot troubleshoot online purchasing issues – they do not have access to the ticketing platform from the taproom. Please email info@presidentialbrewing.com if you’re having difficulty or need assistance.
CAN I BRING MY DOG?
Service animals are always welcome, but pets may not enter the beer garden, per health department regulations.
CAN I BRING MY KIDS?
Sure! Cover charge is required for anyone age 5+, but all ages are welcome to every beer garden show.
CAN I BRING MY OWN FOOD OR BEVERAGE?
No, this is a restaurant and bar, not the beach 🙂
WHERE DO I PARK?
Our main parking lot is your best bet, but if it fills up, utilize the overflow lot located just north of the mini golf course. Please be courteous and respectful to the neighbors in surrounding neighborhoods should you opt to park on the street. Do not block driveways or park on lawns.
WHERE CAN I SMOKE/VAPE?
There is absolutely no smoking of any kind in or around the beer garden. Smoking is not permitted along the fenceline either. Please visit the designated smoking area at the southwest corner of the building (look for the green smoking sign and cigarette butt receptacle).
WHAT IF THERE’S BAD WEATHER?
Shows are scheduled rain or shine! It’s rare that we will cancel a show, but in the event of severe weather, we will make the appropriate changes for the safety of our guests, staff, and performers. If we cancel a show before the start time, VIP ticketholders will be refunded or provided a rescheduled ticket date option. Refunds will not be provided if you choose to leave or not attend when the show goes on, so bring an umbrella if it might rain 😉

Make your smartwatch proud by getting your steps in on our dance floor! We have designed a custom American Flag out of stamped concrete and personalized red bricks. This creates plenty of space for you to get your groove on while listening to the best live music in Kalamazoo! With tons of incredible stage lighting, it is quite the sight to behold when the sun goes down. And with the bands that we are booking this summer, you won’t be able to stop your foot from tapping along. We have the absolute best live music scene in the Kalamazoo area. With our spacious BEER GARDEN, our outdoor bar, the natural gas campfire, and the RED, WHITE, AND BLUE OX CREDIT UNION stage of course, you will not find this much fun packed into an outdoor space anywhere else. Our beer garden stage in Portage is super easy to get to, and no need for complicated downtown parking. Just excellent local live music.

VIP Lawn Ticket
Let us make your life easy for the night. All you have to do is show up and sit in one of the first three rows with your VIP lawn ticket! We provide the comfy camp chairs. ***NEW THIS YEAR*** Place food orders right from your chair and we will deliver it to you!
Each show will have 30 of these seats available for purchase up to two weeks before the show. Many of these shows will sell out of our VIP Lawn Seats!
VIP Lawn Seats are just $10 for most shows and $15 for our premium shows. Guarantee yourself a spot at our next concert. Grab a VIP Lawn Seat for your favorite show, stroll in without having to carry your own chair, then sit in the first three rows to cheer on your favorite local musicians!
VIP Tables
You can really step things up with our VIP table seating. Similar to our VIP Lawn Tickets, our patio tables will be available for reservation two weeks before the show. Not only will you have a table and chairs waiting for you and your friends, you will also receive full table service. That’s right, somebody will go get your beer for you! Kick back and relax. Let us do the heavy lifting.
VIP tables are available for between $30 and $90, depending on the size of the table. Again, these are limited, so don’t wait too long! Secure your spot at our convenient VIP tables for our first concert now!
