Dan Alten is an intelligent goofball from Kentucky who has been traveling the country for the past decade bringing his charming nonsense to everywhere from theaters to punk basements to art galleries to beloved comedy clubs.

Doing over 200 shows a year bringing his tight night surreal fun to the people, like if the Ramones were one guy with a mustache and good jokes. He has opened for Kyle Kinane, Bobcat, Sam Tallent, Rory Scovel, Sarah Sherman from SNL, Johnny Pemberton, Hari Kondabolu, rapper Open Mike Eagle, DJ Doug Pound & David Leibe Hart from Tim & Eric, various punk bands with silly names, and a guy at an open mic who tried to throw his father’s ashes into the crowd.

He has recorded 2 albums, written a zine, and filmed a pilot for an Amazon Prime stand up show that was lost to history. But most importantly he’s funny. You will enjoy him. And if not you can mud wrestle him after the show.

And now…he’s coming BACK to Portage!
We had the absolute pleasure of giggling with Dan back in 2023, and can’t wait to do it again as part of his midwest tour!

Style and substance, Darius Walker’s brand of stand-up comedy takes a classic approach to set up and punchline, but the punch is all knockout. The Grand Rapids native has shown his joke finesse all throughout the state of Michigan including performances at Dr. Grins Comedy Club, Mark Ridley’s Comedy Castle, and has appeared on Gilda’s LaughFest Comedy Festival. Has opened up for Shane Torres, Gary Vider, and many more.

SEATING NOTES:
1. Because we anticipate a sold out show, a hybrid seating chart will be required to ensure we are able to utilize every seat, and not leave any empty spots at tables. Bar seating is not included in our ticket sales, but will be available for guests who prefer to sit at the bar. Tables will be labeled with capacity size, and we will give first come, first served preference based on your party size. For example, the first party of 4 to arrive will have their choice of the available 4-person tables. We cannot allow a party to occupy a table with more seats than they need (a group of 2 will not be permitted to occupy a 4-person table).

2. If you would like to be seated with another party, please purchase your tickets in ONE transaction!
Venmo each other the money, give each other cash, barter with eggs – it’s 2025, you can figure it out 😉 Groups purchased separately will not be guaranteed seating together.

3. For priority table selection, we recommend a dinner reservation ahead of time! Only those with dinner reservations will be permitted entry before 7:30pm. To reserve an early table for dinner and receive priority seat selection, simply select your desired arrival time from the dropdown menu on your ticket.
