Forget the campaign trail. The only stump speeches at Presidential Brewing this October are punchlines. Next Stop Comedy is loading the taproom with three touring stand-ups, and every ticket comes with zero fact-checking required.
Grab a Presidential beer, find a seat, and settle in. Seating starts at 7:30 PM, the show kicks off at 8:00 PM sharp, and the beers will be flowing.

Headliner
Gerrit Elzinga
Growing up in small towns outside Grand Rapids, Gerrit Elzinga started stand-up at 14. From talent shows and classrooms to comedy clubs and theaters, he was a road comic by 25. He tells personal stories and picks apart everyday hypocrisy, with credits including Laughs on FOX, Gilda’s LaughFest, and the Laughing Devil Comedy Festival in NYC. His sophomore album, “Bullet-Biter: The Emcee Sessions,” has been played on SiriusXM.
Darryl Spencer is a laid-back Midwest comic who turns real-life struggles into sharp, surprising laughs. When he is not working in Michigan’s legal cannabis scene, he is chasing stages across the country. He was recently featured on Fresh Faces at the Laugh Factory and is undefeated on Chicago’s Roast Battle circuit.
Gunnar Whitley brings sharp observations to absurd situations. Originally from Northern Michigan, he has made rooms laugh from The Creek and the Cave in Austin to Mark Ridley’s Comedy Castle in Royal Oak. A country boy with a stock of whimsical stories, he is just as willing to take the set somewhere unexpected.
